pudong shangri-la, shanghai "the front desk staff were lovely and helped upgrade us to a river-view room. at night, we could enjoy the beautiful night view of the huangpu river, and even lie in bed and watch the illuminated buildings after their lights were dimmed. in the morning, the sunlight on the river created a picturesque, oil-painting-like quality. the view was excellent, and the room's design leaned western with warm color tones. although the floral and bird paintings were printed and framed, the overall aesthetic had a strong sense of chinese artistry. simply put, it was a harmonious blend of east and west. the location was incredibly convenient, right next to the pudong art museum and riverside restaurants, and very close to shopping malls and the subway station. walking or cycling were both easy options. this hotel offers great value for money." us$131 detail ➡
